City of Pleasantville Hosts Second Annual Sunset Wine Tasting

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ (June 26, 2016) – For the second summer in a row, local vintners and distributors and wine appreciators gathered at Lakes Bay Marina to compare dozens of fine wines and enjoy live jazz, all against the stunning backdrop of an evening skyline by the water.

Saturday’s second annual Sunset Wine Tasting was the latest event in Pleasantville’s Bayview Summer Series, sponsored by Performance Marketing, Peter Lumber Company, Milan & Main at City Center, and Art Handler’s Appliance Center. Proceeds from the event benefited the Pleasantville Envisions Pride and Prosperity (PEPP) Committee.

Attendees received an engraved wine glass and had the opportunity to learn more about offerings by Vermeil Wines and DiMatteo Vineyards, as well as select product tastings from Atlantic City Bottle Company, Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Store with Harrison Beverage, XV Exclusives. NJSOMM provided a wine tasting seminar during the event.

“The Sunset Wine Tasting was so popular last year, we couldn’t wait to do it again,” said Pleasantville Mayor Jesse Tweedle Jr. “We are proud to host guests from all over South Jersey so they can see what a wonderful community we have here in Pleasantville.”

The Bayview Summer Series, which includes the City Center Farmers Market and Mayor’s Cook-Off, is an annual season-long calendar of events presented by the City of Pleasantville and sponsored by South Jersey Gas and CME Associates.
